-One of the key Tet traditions for Vietnamese people is to wrap Banh Chung, a type of square glutinous rice cake, and Banh Tet, a round glutinous rice cake. These types of cake are specially made for worshipping ancestors, or alternatively used as special gifts for relatives and guests. As family members make and consume the delicacies, they take time to sit together and recall stories from the past year.
-Five years ago, I attended a very big festival in Ha Noi. It's called 1000th Anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi Festival. There are a lot of activities in this festival such as fireworks display, military parade, music performances, ect. It was organized very splendidly because the organizers are the Viet Nam government. Millions of people came to Ha Noi to participate in this great festival. It was held for ten days from October 1st 2015 to October 10th 2015. I saw lots of fireworks, parties, parades during these days. It was interesting. I took so many pictures on this festival because there were plenty of beautiful scenes. We organized this great festival to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi.

Tet Holiday, is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture. Tết is also an occasion for pilgrims and family reunions. They start forgetting about the troubles of the past year and hope for a better upcoming year. They consider Tết to be the first day of spring, and the Vietnamese people usually return to their families during Tết. Some return to worship at the family altar or visit the graves of their ancestors in their homeland. They also clean the graves of their family as a sign of respect. Although Tết is a national holiday among all Vietnamese, each region and religion has its own customs.Tết in the three Vietnamese regions can be divided into three periods, known as Tất Niên (penultimate New Year's Eve), Giao Thừa (New Year's Eve), and Tân Niên (the New Year), representing the preparation before Tết, the eve of Tết, and the days of and following Tết, respectively.festival is often called Hội xuân (spring festival).During subsequent days, people visit relatives and friends. Traditionally but not strictly, the second day of Tết is usually reserved for friends, while the third day is for teachers, who command respect in Vietnam. Local Buddhist temples are popular spots as people like to give donations and to get their fortunes told during Tết. Children are free to spend their new money on toys or on gambling games such as bầu cua cá cọp, which can be found in the streets. Prosperous families can pay for dragon dancers to perform at their house. Also, public performances are given for everyone to watch.

Althoung there are a lot of celebration in Viet Nam, I like Tet holiday best. Firstly, Tet is a traditional, joyful and important for Vietnamese people. It is time for families to clean and decorate their houses and enjoy special foods such as sticky rice, sweets, spring rolls,...Secondly,
Tet is a good chance for us to spend time with families, friends and relatives. During Tet, we have more time to visit grandarents,teachers,.. and give them best wishes.Thirdly,Tet is time for relaxing. At Tet, we do not go to school. Children can take part in traditional games and get lucky money. Therefore, Tet is wonderful.
In the world, there are many countries but I love Australia the best. Australia is located in southern hemisphere between the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. This is the smallest continent in the world, 6th largest city with the area of 7,686, 850 sq km(slightly smaller than the contigous 48 US State). The population of the country is 21 million (July 2008 estimate) and the capital is Canberra. Australia is a beautiful country with the climate is generally arid to semiarid. The common languages here are English and native language. Australians are very kind and friendly. They loves sport including rugby, football, golf, swimming and cricket. If you want to choose some places for you holiday, Autralia will be an ideal places with a lot of destinations such as Sydney Opera House, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Melbourne,...You also can try delicious traditional food like Barbecued shrimp, steak, dim sun, potato cakes, fifh and chip,..The country is really a attractive place to visit.
My country has a lot of custom such as: wearing “Ao dai”, reuniting family in Mid-autumn festival, making “Banh Chung” on Tet holiday, etc . However, the custom I would like people from other countries to adopt is cleaning and decorating the ancestral graves. There are two reasons why I want to choose it.
First of all, grave-visiting festival is on the fifth of January in lunar calendar It’s the time for people to visit their ancestor’s graves. While old members burn incense and clean the graves, children talk together and play some games. This action helps them to pay their ancestor the honour and show their respect to someone who passed away .
Secondly, in this special occasion, members in family can reunite and take care of each other. Family members make “banh troi”, “banh chay” to worship the ancestors. After that they eat together. Therefore, this custom makes family’s atmosphere warmer and warmer.
In short, I would like people from other countries to adopt this special custom because it’s really meaningful. It helps young generation to dedicate to their ancestors and keeps family spirit warm. Therefore, other country should adopt this custom.
Next to the house I have a good-hearted neighbor named Uncle Tinh. My house is always close to my house, just a fence wall.
Uncle Love is 49 years old, Uncle more than his 7-year-old father. Highly elastic, thin and thin, but very strong and solid. The black hair is cut short to reveal his well-shaped figure. The black eyes are very bright, but they have a lot of crow's feet due to the hardship of a farmer. Whenever he works, no one can blame him, he is also very agile and resourceful. I often climb the wall to play with his son, because the two of us the same age, in the same class should play very close. One day playing, I forgot to eat lunch, he went to work to see so he told me to stay together to eat meals always. Because of the two students in the same class, every time I go to school, they are always transported by me, sunny and rainy as they arrive on time to carry us.
Uncle loves me, or buy candy for me again. Everybody around him is a gentleman because he is gentle and kind. I consider him as a second father, something I always told him to hear it.
Villages are a beauty and today`s generation is really missing the beauty of villages. Villages are so silent and calm and pollution free. Though I live in a city with the maddening crowd and sound, my parents used to live in villages and I have been there many times. Both my parents come from villages, and I look forward to go their places during my vacations. It is so calm and peaceful and the beauty of nature is just fantastic. With not many families around, they know each other so well, that they all almost live like a large family. You could step into your neighbor’s house at any time and you would be welcomed with yummy dishes and snacks. Though the transportation has advanced, there are still places where you need to walk.I remember, while visiting my grandmother’s place, we had to walk through the paddy fields to reach her home!! It was such an experience that I guess very few, who are of my age would have hadThe backwaters are another beauty to the villages. You have small streams that club to the lakes and backwaters. This stream water is so fresh and crystal clear. You could walk through them and the cool water just rushes over your feet and makes you feel so cool. Hours could be spent by simply sitting and admiring the beauty of nature. The sunset is a beautiful scene to be viewed.
Parallel about develop society, our environment is becoming bad to worse. In old times, people lived in a fresh environment so they can live so strong until die. But now, people always have many sick from mild to heavy. Do you think why? Because many people were lost sense of protection, littering indiscriminately, deforestation too much,... Don't get too late, right now we can grow more trees, punish acts polluting the environment,...Let's live more meaning
- Giao thông đi lại bị cản trở do thiếu phương tiện đi lại do lũ lụt trong mùa mưa lũ.
