Dear Luna,
I am very glad that you told me so many interesting things about England, and today it is my turn to tell you some things about my country – Vietnam. First, Vietnam is a tropical country, so the climate is hot all year, at least compared to England. In the North, you can still feel the differences between the four seasons, but in the South, there are only two seasons: the dry one and the rainy one. Although the hot weather is a bit uncomfortable, but in return, we have many delicious fruits. If you have the opportunity to come here, I will buy some famous fruit in Vietnam such as mango, grapefruit, longan, and especially durian for you to enjoy. Second, Vietnamese people are very hospitable, and they will be very enthusiastic in helping foreigners although sometimes they cannot fully understand what those tourists are saying. You can easily find the ways to your desired destination by asking local people, but my advice is that you should not wander alone in a foreign country. Third, Vietnamese cuisine is something that no one can ignore when coming here, and many tourists come back to Vietnam because they love the food here. Every region has its own special food, and a good thing is that I know some places which have a lot of famous dishes across the country. If you think Vietnam is an interesting country, you can visit it at any time. I promise to take you to many places, and you will surely have a great time in Vietnam.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Your friend,
Nha.
There are many things to tell about my friends. If I think about friendship, I will think about my best friend firstly. Her name is Hoa, one of my schoolmates and we have known each other since we were 10 years old. Everyone would say she is very pretty if they were to describe how she looks. She has black almond-shaped eyes, a small nose, a small pointed chin, and especially long black hair. She is not very tall but not short either, I think such a Vietnamese girl is very nice. She does not like to dress up so her friends usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I used to talk or laugh about everything. She has a wonderful sense of humor but she can also get a little depressed sometimes. She and I are interested in many of the same hobbies. We like going to the movies but there are few movies presented in Yenbai. We used to walk around, try to find a new area of Yenbai to explore. We both like traveling, reading, and training to swim. Whatever we did, it seemed always fun to be with her. We still make time to see each other even when our lives get busy now. Since I was better in math and she was better in English, we could help each other if we got confused about a difficult homework assignment. I hope that our friendship will continue and be just as strong although we graduated from high school.

My parents gave me a trip to Sapa as a present for my effort in the previous school year and the trip was an unforgettable memory to me. My family got there in the morning when the weather was cool but it began to become warmer at noon and in the afternoon but in the evening, the outside was quite cold and even having snow at night. It was such an amazing experience that I really enjoyed it. We also went sightseeing and the natural beauty here took my breath away. The romantic and peaceful atmosphere with ranges of mountains surrounded by fog soon made a strong impression on me. I also had an opportunity to try seating on a cable car and enjoyed how breathtaking the view was. That was the first time in my life that I could see mountain, forests and waterfalls with my own eyes. The next day, my mom and I spent time going to the market where many of activities took place and I bought some souvenirs as gifts for my close friend. Especially, I was totally surprised at the ability of speaking English of local residents, especially small children. Besides, I also had a chance to try local food such as Sapa Cap Nach Pork, bamboo sticky rice, Tao Meo Wine… Each has its unique flavors that all satisfied my tastes. Finally my family had to say goodbye to Sapa but I still hope to come back here one day in a nearest future.
