Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. The New Year come the more excited and interested people there are. This is the occasion for everyone in the family together to welcome New Year after hard – workings in the Old Year. At 24 o’clock on the 30th of the 12th lunar month, the Old Year is replaced on the New Year. Two weeks ago on Saturday, I watched a final match about football between U23 Vietnam and U23 Uzbekistan at school. All the students and the teachers enjoyed it. First, they sang the national song. The first half of the match, U23 Uzbekistan won with 1-0. The second half of the match, U23 Vietnam tried to kick the ball into the other's goal and they won with 1-1. But finally U23 Uzbekistan won with 2-1. And the winner is U23 Uzbekistan. Although U23 Vietnam lost, but they tried their best. I love Vietnam.
My parents’ hometown is Long An, but I was born and raised up in Ho Chi Minh City. People usually call it Saigon, and it is the biggest city of Vietnam. It has a lot of fascinating buildings and constructions since it is a modern and developing city. What I love about Saigon is that all the new and old things are perfectly harmonized. Behind the skyscrapers are the small alleys which contain a slower lifestyle and traditional values. My friends and I have a lot of places to go in our free time such as Nguyen Hue walking street, Tao Dan Park, Dam Sen Water Park, Suoi Tien theme park, and many other places which tourists usually visit. Besides the view, it can be said that Saigon is one of the food heaven that people should not miss when they come to Vietnam. We can find almost all kind of Vietnamese cuisine here, and we can enjoy featuring foods on floating restaurants on Saigon River. I love Saigon a lot, because both the people and the city itself are nice to me and whoever wants to visit it.

Ở đây chúng ta có thể tìm thấy hầu hết mọi loại ẩm thực Việt Nam, và chúng ta có thể thưởng thức những món ăn đặc trưng trên các nhà hàng nổi trên sông Sài Gòn. Tôi yêu nơi này rất nhiều, bởi vì cả con người và thành phố rất tốt với tôi và những người muốn đến đây.
