US senator's solution to climate change: Get married and have some kids

Mike Lee on Tuesday called babies and families the solution to climate change in response to a Democratic plan to overhaul the economy through the Green New Deal proposal.

The Republican made the suggestion while blasting the Green New Deal on the Senate floor. Lee employed poster-board sized pictures of the superhero Aquaman and former President Ronald Reagan riding a velociraptor so he could "consider the Green New Deal with the seriousness it deserves."

After lambasting the policy as "the legislative equivalent of Austin Powers' Dr. Evil demanding 'sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads,'" Lee offered his own solution.

"The solution to climate change is not this un-serious resolution that we're considering this week in the Senate, but rather the serious business of human flourishing," Lee said. "The solution to so many of our problems, at all times and in all places, is to fall in love, get married and have some kids."

Lee argued that, because climate change is an engineering challenge, it will be best solved through American families and increasing the US population. "Problems of human imagination are not solved by more laws, they're solved by more humans," he said. "More people mean bigger markets for more innovation. More babies mean forward-looking adults, the sort we need to tackle long-term, large-scale problems."

Lee is currently working on legislation to support families by providing paid parental leave, his press secretary, Conn Carroll, told CNN.

determined through the capacity and moral qualities of women over time. From time immemorial, my father drew four words to the woman Vietnamese women "public, content, language, happiness".
Experiencing the history and general development of the world and Asian countries, moral standards as well as the concept of beauty in general and the beauty of women in particular also changes from time to time, each generation. The standard of women today has a bit of change to adapt more with practice, more in line with the development of society as well as the trend of integration with the whole world, with the pace of modernization. However, the
development and standards of Vietnamese women are always associated with the old substance, which is evident in the inheritance: faithful, generous, guaranteed, speechless. In ancient times, the part of women in feudal society was a topic chosen by many poets and writers. Through those That work, the woman shows up with beautiful images, along with the beautiful personality, but fate always depends on others. The binding of feudal society, the cruelty of the forces makes their lives full of thorns and waves. Social style
The most unjust and unjustly biased is the woman and society that people always become slaves of money, which makes women hard,
frequency of going to the market early in the day raising her husband and taking care of her children. Although there is suffering, they consider it a joy, a happiness, not a burden heavy. But we see, no matter how difficult the woman is, they always shine up noble personality, sacrifice, love, optimism, faith in fresh light of life. Although the self-contained woman is so, weak before binding
That's it, but "the enemy came home, the women also beat".
During the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans, the woman appeared and fought a heroic sacrifice such as: Mac Thi Buoi, Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Chien, Nguyen Thi Hang, Vo Thi Thang, Tran Thi Ly, Ut Tich, Mom Tu, Nguyen Thi Dinh and Nguyen Thi Binh, etc. They are determined to fight the enemy to the end, determined not to foreign invaders to steal home, rob of ... In any field, stage Any history we encounter is the name of a famous woman, national glorious. The whole world they honor women .. That beauty always shows present through ideals and life, wisdom and soul. In other words, it is a harmonious beauty between form and content. Today is not yet already out of prejudice, even stigma, but comprehensive in terms of both quantity and quality, contributions preserved and promoted Good role for social development practices in all areas. From taking on the domestic role "in the family, women today are important Foreign affairs, this is not just a career for men. They affirm the value, the ability to career and the rise. Aspiration not only As simple as escaping from the family framework, moreover, they affirmed their position as the leaders of corporations and companies. Corporate companies, even leaders in organizations in the government apparatus. In short, no matter what time, women always play an important role in life and work. Besides preserving products Traditional substance from thousands of ancient times, women today must always strive to become a good citizen, dream, living with ambition, living social and community responsibility. HOBBIES IN THE PAST

Like fashion, hobbies change with the times. In our days, a lot of hobbies use technology: we take digital photos and post them online and children play computer games. But what did people use to do before this technology? Let's take a took at some hobbies that were popular more than 100 years ago.

Many of the sports that we play today were popular in the past, too. Football became popular and had rules for the first time in the 19th century. Many football clubs were started by employers, so that workers could play and stay fit. Football was a men sports but both men and woman played other sports, like tennis and croquet. Unfortunately, the long skirts worn at that time didn’t help women with their games at all.

Many girls and women spent their spare times doing sewing and embroidery. They used a needle and thread to make tiny stitches on a piece of fabric. They made clothes and accessories such as scarves and gloves. They created beautiful pictures of flowers, birds and other patterns. They also used to embroider cushions, tablecloths and rugs.

Girl in the 19th century used to play with dolls and doll’s houses. At that time, toys were handmade. The doll’s heads were often made of china and the bodies were made wood. Rocking horses were also very popular. They were made of wood and their tails were made of real horsehair. Boys used to play with toys trains and railways.

Finally, people in the 19th century love nature, so one popular hobby was collecting and drawing butterfiles. People used to catch butterflies in nets and fix them on special boards with pins. They used to draw pictures that showed all the details and colours of the beautiful insects.

Past or present, hobbies are a great way to pass the time. They help us show our creativity and used our imagination.

1.     Football had rules for the first time.

2.     Only men played tennis.

3.     Women and girls used to make toys.

Lunar New Year Festival often falls between late January and early February; it is among the most important holidays in Vietnam. Officially, the festival includes the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd day in Lunar Calendar; however, Vietnamese people often spend nearly a month celebrating this special event. Tet Holiday gets its beginning marked with the first day in the Lunar Year; however, its preparation starts long before that. The 23rd day of the last Lunar month is East Day—a ritual worshiping Kitchen Gods (Tao Cong). It thought that each year on this day, these Gods go to heaven to tell Jade Emperor about all activities of households on earth. On New Year’s Eve, they return home to continue their duties as taking care of families. On New Year’s Day, the first ones who come to visit households—called first-foot—are very important and hence need to be well chosen, as they believed to hold in their hands the entire luck of the family in New Year (Tan Nien). After that, till the third day or even the fourth day of Tet, individuals meet relatives, friends, and colleagues, wishing them all kinds of good things like happiness, health, and success.

One day, the mother went to the market as usual. She asked if the boy want anything. The boy's eyes went wide with delight. He said: "More than anything else, I want a drum!"

But the left over money after the mother bought necessities wasn't enough to buy a drum. The boy wanted a drum so badly, but there was nothing she could do. However, on the way back home, his mother found a fine stick. It was still better than nothing, right? She was smiling badly while she was handing the gift to her son. The boy decided to not disappointed. Instead of that, he thanks his mother, tapped, slapped, banged on every object with his new stick.

Then he saw his neighbor trying to light her smoked stove. Her eyes watered and she coughed so much. The boy, without hesitation, gave the stick to his neighbor. "Here Auntie, use my stick to heat your stove"- he said. When the stove was OK and hot perfectly, she baked him a soft, round roti, a traditional Indian cake.

The boy was looking for a shade place to ẹnjoy the roti when he heard a baby crying. The baby was hungry but her mother had no food. The boy immediately told the mother to feed her baby his roti. The baby ate the warm, delicious cake. The woman insisted the boy to take a large, metal jug as her gratefulness. What a gift! It dinged like a real drum!

He almost didn't saw someone was groaning from a roadside ditch. An old man wearing torn clothes was laying in the dust. The boy ran as quickly as he could to fill the jug with water. The man drink water from the jug and told his story: "I am a trader, but robbers stole my goods." He just had 2 horses, and they were standing by a tree. The boy also gave water to them. He offered that the trader could took his jug to trade. The old man was thankful so he urge the boy to take one of his horse. "It was a rich gift!" the boy thought.

The boy climbed on the horse and rode happily down the streets. He crossed a group of man sitting under a tree. They were beautifully dressed, unfortunately they looked miserable. The boy asked if there is a problem. One young man said: "I'm going to my wedding, where this band will perform. But if I show up on foot, my bride will laugh at me" The boy hopped off the horse and handed the reins to the groom. He thought that he had a whole life without a horse. The young man needed it more than he did! The musicians leaped up and sang. A singer stopped to thank the boy for his kindness. In exchange, he deserved a beautiful drum.

The boy shouted with joy. He tapped the drum the whole way home. His mother came out to see what the noise was. The boy told her about the story of the stick, a roti, a jug, a horse and a drum.
