Environment is an essential part of our life. A clean environment is necessary for a peaceful and healthy life. An environment is the natural surroundings which helps human beings, animals and other living things to grow and develop naturally. But nowadays, our environment is disturbing in many different ways. Any type of disturbance in the nature’s balance affects the environment totally. It does not only ruin human lives but also affects on all living beings. We can save our environment with the little step taken by everyone on the earth. We should reduce the amount of waste, throwing wastes properly to its place only…and many other simple ways. It is very important to save environment for human existence. When we protect the environment, we are protecting ourselves and our future as well.

My secondary school is a place that bears all the hallmarks of my childhood memories. It is placed in the center of my district. Surrounded by a paddy-field, it enjoys lined- trees and colorful garden, which creates a wonderful view. Moreover, this school was designed with a large- scale plan. It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. In a good environment, students are given many precious chances to discover and develop their inner talents. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life.

When people use something, ( something is glass bottles, paper – aluminum) we have 2 choices: the first, throw them in the trash and the second , recycle them. which is the solution you choose ?
If you choose the first solution, it means that : the aluminum will go into the landfill. That landfills are toxic and may be dangerous to the environment, because they are very hard to decomposed. It’s worth nothing that, recycling these objects means that their materials will be used again, reducing the need for cutting down trees or mining for materials to make cans. In addition, programs exist that pay people to recycle many of the things that they use, including aluminum cans, glass bottles, cell phones, and some types of scrap metal.
We can choose our solution to protect environment and our life, even small actions also contribute the big goal of human. Let‘s study some of ways to protect the environment and prace when you can, it’s just simple habit to implement in your everyday life which will make a difference.
- Use compact fluorescent light bulbs: it may be more expensive, but it can be used longer, the more money you can save , the more money paid on the electric bill is reduced.
- Rainwater: we can use it for many different purposes.
- Walk or cycle: the car or motorbike is the biggest cause of pollution. we should decrease the amount of usage as much as possible
- Donate: You have tons of clothes or things you want to get rid of. If they are still usable, give them to someone who needs them.. Not only will you protect the environment, but you will also contribute to a good purpose. If you want to throw away somewhere, you will destroy that land.
- Turn off your devices:
- Paper or plas? Better yet, take a canvas bag to the grocery and re-use it each time you shop.
- Plant a tree. Trees absorb carbon dioxide – a greenhouse gas
We all want to protect our planet, but we’re mostly too busy or too lazy to put up big change that would improve our lifestyle and save the environment. Let’s change, we always have the chance to do it.

Nowadays, environmental pollution is a hot issue, causing huge waves in public. There are a lot of scientific studies on this issue. Do you know that the cause of pollution originates from the tasks seeming small in our daily lives such as littering, deforestation, or the direct discharge of smoke from vehicles, factory into the environment without treatment. However, if these actions are repeated many times, gradually, the amount of pollution is increasing and has the opposite impact on our lives. The manifestation of environmental pollution is an increase in the carbon footprint in the air, soil and water, which is a gas that does not sustain life. Environmental pollution is also a direct cause of global warming, leading to a series of phenomena, such as the greenhouse effect, ice caps melting, natural disasters such as droughts, floods, volcanic eruption and so on. The sea level is rising, more and more natural disasters occur, which threaten all species, make some of which be rare or extinct, break the ecological balance on the Earth. Human beings are not exception. We are breathing polluted air, eating unsafe food. In recent years, we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people suffering from respiratory and digestive diseases. In conclusion, environmental pollution is a matter taking a lot of concern. It is time for us to take action to overcome this current issue, to protect our own lives.

The planning of urban areas is not associated with waste and wastewater treatment, so environmental pollution in big cities, industrial zones and urban areas is at an alarming level.
Out of 183 industrial parks in the country, over 60% of industrial parks do not have centralized wastewater treatment systems. In urban areas, only about 60% - 70% of solid waste is collected, infrastructure is drained and treated for wastewater and waste, so it does not meet the requirements of environmental protection ... Most of water untreated waste is discharged directly into rivers and lakes and is forecasted to be 510,000m3 / day by 2010. For example, the heartache of waste water discharge, no one did not know, was the case of the Thi Vai river polluted by chemicals discharged from the Vo Dan MSG factory for 14 consecutive years. The seriously polluted river affects the lives of many people around. Or the pollution of Hoan Kiem Lake, a symbol of national culture.
So what is the cause of these incidents?
First, it is a serious lack of awareness among many people, especially young people. They think that what they do is too small, not enough to harm the environment. Or think that environmental protection is the responsibility of the state, the government is not mine. Others think that the environment has been polluted, it doesn't matter what to do, and the environmental pollution doesn't affect me much ... But that's not it! Destroying the environment of a person is only a small effect but gathering many people is big. Although the responsibility to protect the environment is also partly part of the state, most people are from the people. The things we do to the environment, although we have not seen it yet, in the long run it will affect us more or less.
Another cause of environmental pollution is the lack of corporate responsibility. They put heavy emphasis on maximizing profits, many businesses have violated the mining process, significantly contributing to environmental pollution. In addition, it is the lack of strictness in the management of environmental protection of the state that has also abetted continued environmental destruction acts. Vietnam lacks strict environmental protection policies and regulations and is attracting investment capital to develop so it is easy to get into the "trap": to become a "dirty" receiving industry. . For example, the steel rolling industry consumes a lot of resources such as soil, water and energy, discharging hazardous wastes for the environment. In addition, the amount of car traffic she has grown more and more in our country also contributed significantly to polluting the atmosphere.
What consequences did this leave behind?
Many people have become reluctant victims of environmental pollution. For example, Thach Son "cancer village" in Phu Tho, hundreds of people died of cancer due to the use of polluted water sources discharged to Lam Thao Chemical Plant, Phu Tho. Every year, about 16,000 people in Vietnam die from diseases related to air pollution. It is forecasted that in the coming years, this figure may continue to increase. Depleting biological resources is another inevitable consequence of environmental pollution. Coral reefs in estuaries as well as brackish waters disappear. The phenomenon of red tide has also appeared in our country from June to the middle of the lunar July in the southern central coast, especially in Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan. More than 30 km of beach from Ca Na to Long Huong is slimy with thick dark gray semolina, mixed with the corpses of the creature to create a stench. The mass of mucus throughout some marine microalgae causes the seawater to become thick like porridge. In addition, in the near future, Vietnam may suffer from serious water shortages due to more and more polluted clean water ...

It is very important to save environment for human existence. When we protect the environment, we are protecting ourselves and our future as well so we must do not pour chemicals and waste oil on to the ground or into drains leading to bodies of water.
