Các tính từ chỉ màu sắc, trạng thái hay tính chất đổi sang danh từ bằng cách thêm -ness hay -ty
eg : redness, whiteness, happiness, laziness, loneliness, honesty, safety, cruelty,...ect...
Những tính từ tận cùng bằng -ful hay -ly đổi sang danh từ bằng cách thêm -ness
eg : careful -> carefulness
ugly-> ugliness
Những tính từ tận cùng bằng -al, -ial, -id, -ile, -ure đổi sang danh từ bằng cách thêm -ity
eg : mental ->mentality
equal -> equality
cordial -> cordiality
partial -> partiality
timid -> timidity
solid -> solidity
valid -> validity
pure -> purity
fertile -> fertility
Những tính từ tận cùng bằng -ant hay -ent đổi sang danh từ bằng cách bỏ -t rồi thêm -ce
