My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.

In my living room, there is a big TV, two tables, two benches, four chairs, a computer and some pictures,...In my study, there are two desks, three chairs, three closets, some books, a bookshelf and a computer. There is a small TV, two mattresses, five pillows, four blankets, and a teddy bear. There are some bowls, some cups, a fridge, a stove, a table, a cupboard and some pots,...In my bathroom, there is a mirror, a toilet, a sink, some towels, some toothbrushes and some soaps. To the left of my house, there is a wall. To the right of my house, there are some trees. I love my house very much.
New Year day is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in my country. This is the occasion that people celebrates with great joy, hope, festivity and different cultural and other programs.
New Year is the time when a new calendar year begins and the year count is incremented. According to Gregorian calendar, this festival falls on the first January each year.
People start the arrangement to celebrate this festival about one week prior to the 1st January. On the 31st night, people gather together, eat western foods and sometimes the traditional foods, make prayer for the prosperity of for the New Year and stay awake till late night to enjoy the night.

My favourite leisure activity is reading. I like reading because it is a hobby that is useful and interesting: useful because you can find a lot of knowledge of all areas that you need; interesting because the books can give you the joy and help you relax after a day of toil etc... Among different kinds of sports, I prefer basketball.
When you play basketball with your team mates you have a chance to get rid of all the negative energies that are piled up in you throughout work or study time. Your body is wholly involved. Basketball involves both your mind and your body. It’s an extremely physical activity, so that even your finger tips have to be strong. In basketball you need both stamina and speed to be a successful player. It’s not that important if you’re not tall. Your strength is of much more importance. Both feet and hands must be strong. Even you need to be wise in this game. If you know where to stand so that your rival has a weak chance of blocking you, you’ll more successfully get close to the basket to shoot and score. Sometimes, by being wise and finding the right place to stand and block the rival saves your team.
Basketball is a team work and this is what I like the most about this sport. You learn how to cooperate with other team mates. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice yourself by blocking the rival so that your team mate can find space to go to the basket and score. Passing the ball to other members of your team makes the chance of winning higher and higher.
All in all, basketball is so enjoyable and fun if you play it in a group, not individually.
Every year, on August 15 is the Mid-Autumn Festival. On that day, the children in my village were very excited to wear nice clothes and hold toys to join them to celebrate the Tet holiday.
Before the festival, my mother went to the market to prepare a beautiful star lamp for me. At 7 pm, when they called at the gate, I asked my parents to let me join the flow of people, holding a bright light in hand to pick the lamp. Our route will go from the end of the village to the communal house. Leading the army is the young siblings. Each of you will take a drum to play each song very harmoniously. Then there will be girls who will make us sing different children's songs. At the end of the group, there will be some adults following their children, and then going to break up the family. Initially, the delegation will be divided into 2 rows, but after a short time, the students rushed closer to talk and laugh happily.
When they reached the communal house, a tray of five fruits, a plate of confectionery and fruit were displayed. We quickly sat at each stable table. The village secretary will be the host, Uncle Cuoi and Ms. Hang will appear and give presents to us. When the deck began to crack, so did the entertainment. Alternating are the strange games that you have arranged in advance. We had fun together and came home when the moon was up.

First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
All of the special holidays in my country, I like Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year.
