Having a good eating habit will bring you a goo health and a lot of energy. Here are some tips to have a good eating habit:

Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green, red, and orange vegetables (3 or more servings a day).

Eat a variety of fruits (2 or more servings a day).

Eat whole-grain, high-fiber breads and cereals (3 to 6 servings a day). Reduce or eliminate refined or processed carbohydrates; most of the grains in your diet should be whole grains.

Should drink fat-free or low-fat milk and eat low-fat dairy products.

Choose from a variety of low-fat sources of protein — including eggs, beans, poultry without skin, seafood, lean meats, unsalted nuts, seeds, and soy products. If you eat meat, eat white meat at least four times more often than red meat.

Reduce intake of saturated fats and trans-fats (such as partially hydrogenated oil) as much as possible.

Use vegetable oils (like olive or canola oil) instead of solid fats.

Reduce daily intake of salt or sodium. Reduce to less than 1,500 mg. per day if you are older than 50, or have hypertension, diabetes or chronic kidney disease.

Restrict or eliminate "junk food" — foods that contain refined white flour, solid fats or trans fats, added sugars, and are high in sodium.

Restrict or eliminate sodas and other sugar-added drinks that are high in calories and contain few or no nutrients.

If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation. Drink only when it doesn't put you or anyone else at risk.

Topic 2 : A couple of months ago I went to the Greek island of Crete. We stayed in a town called Xania, which is on the coast in the north west of Crete. It is a really picturesque town with small cobbled streets, a large harbour and many ancient buildings. I went there with my husband Brendan for a one-week holiday. We got there by various means of transport, taking a train to the airport, then a four-hour flight, followed by a twenty-minute taxi ride from the airport to where we were staying. The whole journey took around eight hours from door to door, which was a bit longer than we expected it to take, although we didn't have any major delays, thank goodness. I enjoyed my stay there very much, as I had not had a holiday for ages and needed to switch off from working. We didn't do much sightseeing, although Xania itself has a long and fascinating history so went to the local museum in order to learn more about it. I spent a lot of time reading books and swimming in the sea, which I must admit was quite a lot colder than I thought it would be. I also enjoyed eating the delicious Cretan food, and walking around the ancient streets in the town. One of the things I enjoyed the most was going to a restaurant called Xalkina, where they had live Cretan music every night. The musicians were playing instruments that I had never seen before, and I loved the style and tempo of the music they played. I would definitely like to go back to Crete one day, though next time I would probably make more effort to see the amazing sights of the rest of Crete.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D to indicate the correct answer to each of thequestions.

Isn’t it amazing how much time we spend talking about food?, “Have you ever eaten......?”, “What did you have for lunch?” and so on. And yet when you travel from one country to another, you find that people have quite different feelings about food. People often feel that what they eat is normal, and that what other people eat is strange or silly.

In most part of Asia, for example, no meal is complete without rice. In England, people eat potatoes every day. In the Middle East, bread is the main part of every meal. Eating, like so many things we do, becomes a habit which is difficult to change. Americans like to drink a lot of orange juice and coffee. The English drink tea four or five times every day. Australians drink a large amount of beer, and the French drink wine every day.

The sort of meat people like to eat also differs from one country to another. Horse meat is thought to be delicious in France. In Hong Kong, some people enjoy eating snakes. Newzelanders eat sheep meat, but they never eat goat meat. The Japanese don’t like eat sheep meat because of its smell, but they enjoy raw fish.

So it seems that although eating is a topic that we can talk about for hours, there is little common sense in what we say about it. People everywhere enjoy eating what they have always been eating, and there is very little we can do to change our eating habits.

2,In many of the Vietnamese eating habits, below is the introduction and analysis of some of the common Vietnamese eating habits that persist, albeit more or less "integrate but not dissolve" Cultural cross-fertilizatiLike chatting in the meal: Vietnamese have the habit of eating together, eating together. So the members of the meal are closely related and dependent on each other. This is different from the West, because everyone has their own ration, people are completely independent of each other. And the Vietnamese are the opposite, so they love chatting with their dinners, as opposed to Westerners avoiding talking when they eat. Chatting while eating is a necessity for the Vietnamese people, because the meal serves to "eat well", but also the opportunity for brothers, relatives and friends to gather to inquire health, Live together, share experiences and be comfortable discussing their favorite subject. Because there are delicious food that is not good weather, not good weather, without good food is not good, there is no place to eat delicious friends do not eat, not eat well, have friends mind The air of unhealthy meals is not good. Eat the pot, sit in the direction of: because everyone is interdependent, so consider the sitting and the size when eating. This is a high expression in the community life of the Vietnamese. It requires people not to eat too fast, too slow; Do not eat too much but do not eat too little; Do not eat or eat. Therefore, the phenomenon after eating, in the plate food is always left over food, and food in the cup of people have all eaten. This habit of eating reflects on the meal, a guest must eat deliciously to show gratitude and respect the landlord, but on the other hand to leave a few on the plate to prove that you are not. Starve, not glutton On the other hand, fast food indicates that people are in a hurry, rude, slow to eat, people have to wait, eat more, eat up greed, eat less, eat less is not good ... Folk stories often criticize people Accidentally eating and having many meals to eat. Therefore, our grandparents paid great attention and experimented in teaching their children: "Studying, learning to speak, learning package, learning open". In it, educating the way of eating is a top priority because through the way people eat, one can more or less comment and conclude on that individual's personality and their whole family. Must have a cup of fish sauce (or soy sauce) when eating. In the meal structure of the Vietnamese, while other dishes are eaten, people do not, and rice and fish sauce are all used, also dots. Therefore, the cup of tattoo has become a measure of attention, measuring the level of human culture. The fish sauce must be neat, clean, no noise, dots is to show people clumsy, descriptive, dot fish sauce that to fall into the fish sauce is unsanitary dish, dirty, dirty Missing (two, three times a dot) are people who do not work, or flaws, should not be trusted .. Do not eat too much or too little rice in each cup. The owner of the pot is very delicate and the size of the rice cooker for guests. Too many are easy to fall, scrape, (make guests clumsy) and there is no place for food; It is too little to eat quickly, have to bring several times (making guests bring food). See the rice in the pot is about to end, must reduce the speed of their own and family (by little), avoid leaving the chopsticks in the pot, to make guests feel full, most comfortable. Use chopsticks when eating: This is the popular way of eating in Asia. It is a unique way to simulate the movement of a bird to pick up seeds, resulting from the habit of eating things that can not be handled or handled (such as rice, fish, fish sauce ...) of the East. South Asia. Westerners, meanwhile, have to use a set of knives, spoon, and dishes (simulating the tearing of animals), each performing a single function (product of analytical thinking). Vietnamese chopsticks perform in a comprehensive and flexible manner a variety of functions: picking and tearing, girdling, crossing, mixing, dipping, and connecting their long arms to get food far away!on in other countries.
