Sitting around a burning campfire is a fun way to relax after a day of hiking. Unluckily, many campers don't know how to keep their fires safe. Forest are easy to catch fire but it is extremely difficult to stop a forest fire. Each year, forest fires burn plants, kill animals, destroy environment and put the lives of people in danger. It is important that when you have a fire, you should make it a safe fire. These are some guidelines to remember:

·         Choose a safe place for your fire. Move all things easy to catch fire at least 1 meter away from your campfire.

·         When the campfire is burning, someone of your group should watch it to make sure the fire does not spread.

·         Have a shovel ready in case you need to put the fire out.

·         When you don't want to use the fire anymore, pour water on the fire until it is completely cool.

Rừng rất dễ bắt lửa nhưng để ngăn cháy rừng thì vô cùng khó. Hàng năm, cháy rừng thiêu rụi thực vật, giết hại động vật, tàn phá môi trường và đe dọa cuộc sống của con người. Điều quan trọng là khi xảy ra hỏa hoạn, bạn nên làm nơi chữa cháy an toàn. 

Đây là một số nguyên tắc cần nhớ: 1. Chọn một nơi an toàn cho đám cháy của bạn. Di chuyển tất cả những thứ dễ bắt lửa cách xa lửa trại của bạn ít nhất 1 mét. 2. Lễ hội sẽ diễn ra từ 28/1 năm sau. Nhiều người bận rộn chuẩn bị cho lễ hội và bạn sẽ sớm nhìn thấy sự chuẩn bị đó ở một nhà triển lãm. Triển lãm mở cửa từ tháng 5 đến tháng 9. Bạn sẽ thấy con tàu dài Viking, trang phục của người tham gia và rất nhiều ảnh của lễ hội những năm trước.

Nếu bạn đến Up Helly Aa vào năm tới, bạn sẽ trải nghiệm nhiều hơn, không chỉ là một lửa trại khổng lồ. Sẽ có âm nhạc và nhiều sự kiện thú vị vào những ngày trước và sau lễ hội, vì vậy chắc chắn rằng bạn hãy lên kế hoạch cho chuyến đi đến Lerwick xung quanh lễ hội để có trải nghiệm tổng thể!
