Theo mình thì cách phát âm giữa " for " và " four " có sự khác nhau. Vì " for " đọc ngân dài hơn " four ".

1. So sánh bằng (Equality)
Cấu trúc:
Khẳng định (positive): S + V + as + adj/adv + as + N/pronoun
Phủ định (negative): S + V + not + so/as + adj/adv + N/Pronoun
Ví dụ:
She is as beautiful as her sister
He is as stupid as his friend
2. So sánh hơn (Comparative)
Tính từ ngắn (Short Adj):S + V + adj/adv + er + than + N/pronoun
Tính từ dài (Long Adj): S + V + more + adj/adv + than + N/pronoun
Ví dụ:
He is taller than his father.
She speak English more fluently than her friend.
3. So sánh hơn nhất (Superlative)
Tính từ ngắn (Short adj):S + V + the + adj/adv + est + N/pronounTính từ dài (Long adj):S + V + the most + adj/adv + N/pronoun.
Ví dụ:
She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
This is the longest river in the world.
Chú ý:
- Những tính từ ngắn kết thúc bằng một phụ âm mà ngay trước nó là nguyên âm duy nhất thì chúng ta nhân đôi phụ âm lên rồi thêm "er" trong so sánh hơn và "est" trong so sánh nhất.(ex:hot-->hotter/hottest)
- Những tính từ có hai vần,kết thúc bằng chữ "y" thì đổi "y" thành "i" rồi thêm "er" trong so sánh hơn và "est" trong so sánh nhất(ex:happy-->happier/happiest)
- Những tính từ/trạng từ đọc từ hai âm trở lên gọi là tính từ dài,một âm gọi là tính từ ngắn.Tuy nhiên,một số tính từ có hai vần nhưng kết thúc bằng "le","et","ow","er"vẫn xem là tính từ ngắn (ví dụ: slow--> slower)

Phép so sánh là gì?
Cũng như trường hợp các trạng từ trạng thái bình thường, các trạng từ tương đối sửa đổi. Nhưng trong trường hợp này họ cho thấy một mức độ so sánh. Bạn sử dụng chúng khi bạn muốn so sánh haingười, địa điểm hoặc sự vật. Chúng được hình thành giống như một tính từ so sánh được tạo ra.Nếu đó là một từ ngắn, việc thêm một -er vào cuối sẽ biến đổi một trạng từ thông thường thành một từ so sánh . Như thế này:

Nowaday, traffic problem is the biggest problem that many people care about. In VN, I think the city where have the worst traffic is Ha noi.
The first problem is the traffic jam here. Why? In the rush hours of the day, there're too many people using the road. Last year, in 2013, many bridges was built so it happen less but in order to stop this, a kind of small car should be invented, people should go to works by buses instead of going by motorbikes...
The second one, as you know, the roads in VN is not as big and clean as the roads in the big countries. They're narrow, bumpy and some dirty so it’s really hard for the road users to drive safely. I think we should raise money to make the road in VN better and better.
But everyone knows that Vietnamese people are not respect and don’t follow the traffic rules. That’s the biggest reason for everything. They wear the helmet that not strong enough to keep they safe if the accident may happen, they ride too fast on the small roads… The traffic will never can be improve if they keep doing this.
At the end, I hope the traffic in VN will improve more.
