I have many hobbies, such as, playing football, game online and swimming. However, my favourite one is reading manga, a kind of Japanese picturebooks. Whenever i have spare time, i would like to lie on my bed and enjoy thrilling and interesting adventures described through beautiful pictures. Moreover, reading these books makes me feel comfortable and relaxed after a hard-working day in my university. Finally, sometimes, they make me think about life's lessons of love, friendship and family by touching stories , which is the main reason why i like this kind of books.

Well, to start off, I would like to describe Tet, which is the most crucial national festival of Vietnam. In Vietnamese culture, Tết marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year. It usually lasts three days but celebrations continue for at least the first week of the New Year.

Moving on to the next question, in my opinion, the primary reason for its appearance is that Tết is a special occasion for family reunions as well as for celebrating the arrival of spring.

To celebrate the New Year, we do lots of things together. Before New Year’s Eve, we prepare some local specialties, such as Chưng cake, Vietnamese sausage and dried candied fruits to worship our ancestors and then enjoy during Tet. Houses are thoroughly cleaned out and then nicely furnished in the hopes of getting rid of the past year’s bad lucks. Additionally, many families usually decorate their houses with Kumquat trees, Apricot or Peach blossom and parallel sentences that are believed to bring luckiness, happiness and prosperity to them in the New Year.

All members in a family gather together and have parties to ring in the New Year. During Tết, there are a lot of customs practiced, such as giving lucky money to children, visiting friends’ houses and going to churches, temples or pagodas to make good prays for their family.

If there’s time left, I would like to explain its importance to our culture and me. With Vietnamese, Tết is vital as it’s a very meaningful tradition to welcome the New Year. And it’s more important because Tet is the time for families and relatives to gather under the same roof for rekindling love and bonding. For me, I always long for Tet as it’s the longest holiday, which can help me recover my battery after a long working ye

1. Describe a friend

My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. However we became best friends when we were at grade 7. At that time I was very bad at English and it was who helped me improve my English. Now she lives with her parents in Nguyen Trai street.

If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice.

What I like about Lan is that she has same hobbies with me. We both enjoy singing karaoke reading comic books and going shopping. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can t agree on which movie to see. In addition since I am better in Maths and Chemistry and she is better in English and languages we can always help each other if we get confused about a difficult homework assignment. We are so lucky that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship can last long.

Sleeping in another room is nothing like sleeping in my room. I fixed up my own room. I painted it white and dark lime green, It's pattern'd. I have a 40 inch led hdtv plasma tv. My iguana cage makes my room cooler. I wanted my room to have tile on the floor. It doesn't matter any more now that were moving from that house. Were not moving far at all, it's only like a block away.

Our family is large (small, not very large). We are the family of five (three, four, five, six): my mother, my father, two my brother and I. My mother's name is … She is … years old. He is a farmer, too (a teacher, an engineer, a doctor, a businessman). He is rather tall and strong.
He is a man of strong character - and all of us love him very much. Both of my brother are machanics (students ,pupils). Their names are ... I love them very much.

We are a very good family. We love each other very much. In the evenings, when all the members of our family get together after work and study, we like to watch TV, to read books and newspapers, to talk about different things and to discuss all our problems together. When the weather is good we sometimes go for a walk. We have a small house in the country with a garden and a kitchen-garden. There is much work there and on week-ends we go there and work and have rest all together.

On the other hand, travelling makes my life more interesting because I can meet lots of people all over the world and make new friends. Finally, I can admire true beauty and enjoy it when I go to different places. 5. Talk about your village/town

I was born in a quiet village where the influence of the city is not much. It is a small village with a population of about two thousand people. It is a very good place for relaxation indeed.

In my village, people live very close to each another. The people are very simple in thought and behavior. Therefore they are friendly and helpful . So, the crimes of the city are almost unknown in my village. The people work together and live in peace. I love them. My village is surrounded by paddy-fields and a river. All these add great beauty and variety to my village scene. Although I do not like growing rice, but I really like the fields. It makes me have a good mood, a peace mood and a relaxed mood.

Now I am living in Hanoi capital. I want to come back my hometown very much. Living among such friendly and simple people, in such a quiet village, is indeed a real pleasure.

I would like to talk about the Lunar New Year festival, also known as the Tet holiday, which is the occasion expected the most by Vietnamese people every year. The festival usually lasts for around 3-4 days, and it takes place when a new year comes according to the lunar calendar.

– The Lunar New Year festival takes place because it is one of the most well-known traditions of Vietnam. Our people have been celebrating this occasion for thousands of years, and although there has been some recent argument about whether we should stop celebrating this festival, I do not think this activity will come to an end soon, at least not in the short term.

– There are some common things that people do during this festival. Perhaps the most important thing is that people who work and study in big cities would go back to their hometown to celebrate the new year with their families and relatives. The new year festival is one of very few occasions that families can gather together, so it is easy to understand why everyone in Vietnam expects this festival so much. Another thing that we usually do is that we give children some “lucky money” with the hope that it will bring fortune to those kids. We also have some other activities such as making “chung” cake, visiting temples and pagodas… and so on.

– The new year festival is so important to me and also to all Vietnamese citizens. The reason is because we get more days off from work and study, and therefore we have more time to spend with our families and our loved ones. It is also a great time to think about what we have done in the previous year, and to make plans for the upcoming year.

. Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

The Temple of Artemis was reckoned by Antipater of Sidon, the Greek poet, to be the finest of the ancient wonders. He wrote: "When I saw the house of Artemis that mounted to the clouds, those other marvels lost their brilliancy, and I said, 'Lo, apart from Olympus, the Sun never looked on aught so grand'." After being destroyed twice, by floods and arson, the third - and greatest - incarnation began in 323BC. It survived until 268AD, when it was damaged or destroyed during a Goth raid. The site of the temple was rediscovered in 1869, and fragments of it can be found in the British Museum. Ephesus was given World Heritage Site status in 2014.

Festival

There are many festival in the world but i like sakura festival best. thể are many reasons why i like it.This is a traditional Japanese festival called Hanami, which usually takes place in late March and early April.
Hanami is a word compounded by Hana meaning flower and mi means to look. Hanami means watching and admiring flowers. This festival is one of the oldest festivals in Japan for thousands of years and is an indispensable feature of Japanese culture.
Cherry blossom is the national flower of the sunrise. It symbolizes purity, fragility and purity.
The chore of cherry blossoms has been formed since the days of Nara, beginning with the arrival of several gods bearing the blossoming sprats of the emperor on the occasion of the beginning of spring. But it was not until the early 17th century that the Edo cherry blossoms were planted in the parks of Satora-Kura, a cherry blossom village, where cherry blossom festivals have taken place.
When spring comes, cherry blossoms blossom all over Japan and where flower festivals take place, especially in big cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama ... Only Tokyo has. 21 official spots were held in the cherry blossom festival on March 3 in major parks such as Ueno Park in Taito District, Shinjuku Goen Park in Shinjuku District, Yoyogi Koen Park in Harajuku District. ..
Cherry blossom is a flower blossoming quickly, from the time the flowers bloom until it lasts only about 10 days to 2 weeks. Depending on the climate of each region, cherry blossoms bloom at different times. In the south of Japan warmer flowers in January while the north may hatch in May. So flower lovers can travel from South to North to enjoy flowers as well as to mix into the air ceremony. Assembly all over the country.
In the warm spring, Japanese people often choose for themselves places to grow cherry flowers such as parks, along the river to organize picnic, flowers, chat, singing all day and night. They enjoy traditional food such as sushi, bento rice, sake or a drink often viewed as a flower called Hanamizake.
