Lunar New Year is a big, jubilant and bustling traditional festival of the whole nation. When it comes to Tet, every child is probably excited as well, because every New Year's Eve, our mother buys us new clothes, goes out, enjoys many delicious foods, and especially gets lucky money. As for me, the greatest joy in Tet is to return to my hometown Nam Dinh, to enjoy the very own, very "hometown" Tet flavors. Every time Tet comes and spring comes, the atmosphere everywhere becomes more bustling. The atmosphere on Tet holiday in my hometown is wonderful.

Every year, just waiting for a vacation, my mother let me go back to my hometown to be with my grandparents. My hometown is not far away, less than ten kilometers from Nam Dinh City. Sitting in the car watching the sky and earth along the way, I felt all the beauty of spring. The spring girl in a beautiful outfit but also very graceful, blowing a fresh, fresh breeze to wake up heaven and earth after a long sleep.

The Tet atmosphere has filled every field, every village road and even into every red tile roof in my hometown. On the morning of 29, I was allowed to go to Tet market by my grandmother. Although the countryside market is not big, it is full of goods, such as jam, flowers, green rice cakes, chicken, and vegetables. The two grandchildren suddenly stopped at an old woman's coriander stall. I took a deep breath. Wow! Still the same familiar scent, the scent that I just need to smell it reminds me of the atmosphere of Tet. The fragrance is not concentrated, but it is light and cool like waking up all the senses. The children around 3 or 4 years old play with their mother. Each child is also bought by their mother for Tet clothes. Peach branches, branches show off tomorrow. On the morning of the first day, when the whole family woke up, they could smell the scent of coriander leaves. She told me to wash my face for good luck and good things. I took her hand and dipped it in the basin of water and pressed it to my cheek, then I put my hand down to wait for it to warm, then stroked her cheek and hair. The two grandchildren looked at each other and smiled. For me, the greatest happiness is when my grandparents and whole family are always healthy and happy. I wish she lived like that so that every year I could bathe in the water she cooked with coriander leaves!

Tet in me is like that, simple but warm and full of love. My heart flutters when I see the peach tree blossoming in front of the house, joyfully welcoming spring with warm rays of sunshine, dispelling the cold of the cold winter. Wishing you, your parents, grandparents and everyone a happy and prosperous new year!
