Saffron and the Secret of the Lost Fortune

In a quiet village nestled by a lush forest, there lived a wise snake named Saffron. Every year, Saffron guided the villagers through their New Year celebrations, sharing his wisdom to ensure peace and prosperity. But this year was different. The village's good fortune suddenly vanished, and the crops begun to wither. Concerned, the villagers turned to Saffron for guidance.

Determined to help, Saffron sought out his friend, Ruby the Rabbit, known for her cleverness and speed. "Ruby, something is wrong-the village is losing its good fortune, and I don't know why," Saffron said. Ruby paused thoughtfully before replying, "Perhaps Oliver the Ox can help. He's strong and hardworking and might know what's wrong with the crops."

Together, Saffron and Ruby made their way to the hills where Oliver the Ox was hard at work ploughing the fields. However, despite his efforts, nothing was growing.

"I've been working day and night, but no matter what I do, the crops won't grow," Oliver sighed. "If this continues, the village will run out of food."

Saffron thought for a moment and then said, "The village's fortune isn't lost-it's within us. Ruby's cleverness, Oliver's strength, and my wisdom can bring back good fortune if we work together."

The three friends decided to join forces. Ruby used her quick thinking to design new paths for the water to reach the fields. Oliver, with his mighty strength, ploughed the land, while Saffron guided them with his wisdom, ensuring they worked with care and patience.

Before long, the crops began to flourish, and the villagers celebrated. They realised that true fortune comes from teamwork and using everyone's unique talents. That evening, the village marked the Lunar New Year with fireworks, feasts, and joyful dancing, honouring the snake, rabbit, and ox for restoring their good fortune.
